This large barn complex on the outskirts of Maidenhead was acquired by a company seeking a new headquarters. The site combines traditional brick-built barns with modern framed structures, with each type of building adapted to suit different functions. The traditional barns accommodate a mix of cellular and open-plan office suites, while the larger modern-framed buildings provide generous spaces for assembly, conferences, and events.

Visitors enter the complex via a modest glazed canopy at the junction of several wings, arranged in a T-shaped plan. This leads through a single-storey lobby into a dramatic double-height reception space, revealing the building’s agricultural origins while creating an immediate sense of character and scale.
In addition to offices, the complex includes a display area, meeting rooms, a staff gym, and informal breakout spaces. Externally, the formerly muddy farmyard has been transformed into a smart, permeable brick-paved surface, completing the overall upgrade of the site.
