A self-build with sustainability in mind. Panorama is a glazed two-storey garden room extension to an existing dwelling in Ashford, North Devon, designed to enhance the relationship between the house, the garden and the wider landscape.
The extension reflects the scale and language of the existing built form while introducing an asymmetrical composition that deliberately focuses views out across the surrounding countryside. A light-touch architectural approach is adopted, with extensive areas of glazing used to maximise daylight and visual connection, creating a flexible space that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
