Waterfront development of 34 dwellings

Waterfront locations have traditionally been highly prized for residential projects.  So a former light industrial site complete with Victorian warehouses on the River Yeo was an appealing design prospect.

Acting for a developer, we felt that retaining the warehouses should be a key element of any scheme.  On that basis we came up with a design solution that created 34 dwellings being a mixture of new build and converted apartments and new build townhouses, along with on site parking.

The townhouses use room in the roof construction to create a third storey without being excessively high and have south facing covered outdoor space on every level overlooking the river and park beyond. Internally, flexibility was seen as a key element to allow the same design to respond to the needs of different prospective occupants.
