Permitted development approval for barn conversion

PMA were pleased to be appointed to assess the practicalities of achieving a change of use for our clients of one of their barns into a dwelling.

Building on our previous barn conversion successes, we believed that the barn meet the criteria for an applciation to be made under permitted development rights covered by part Q ‘change of use of a building and its curtilage to a dwelling house’.

Based on our assessment of the original barn, minor alteration works were suggested to increase the amount of natural light, whilst ensuring that we retained the character of the barn, and meet the permitted development criteria.
