South Molton Mix Use Scheme

Conversion of disused pub into new office with five residential units.

Our brief for this project was to asses the opportunities a disused public house in the centre of South Molton had, to enable a new office space for an Insurance broker to be created.

As part of the scheme, a study was made to asses what the best use of the disused buildings to the rear of the site could be. After careful consideration of the planning policy & site constraints PMA was able to develop a scheme that included three new dwelling formed around a re-organised courtyard.

The existing pub had accommodation on the first floor, which was also reconfigured to provide two further flats accessed via a new entrance to enable the office space at ground to be self contained.

The ground floor area was opened up to provide a modern light office environment to suit the needs of the expanding insurance brokers.
